Pro Vision planning Consultants have announced an intended community consultation
for a revised development on the south side of Leigh Road.
Wimborne RFC have subsequently just received the following:
“Pro Vision have been instructed by Gleeson Strategic Land Ltd to prepare a
new planning application for additional development at Leigh Road Wimborne.
The site is already allocated for development within the Adopted Core
Strategy (Policy WMC8 refers) Outline planning consent has been granted by
the Council for the erection of 305 new homes and sports pitches under ref.
3/215/0789/C0U. The new application will propose additional new homes and a
revised proposal for the sports pitches.
A community consultation event has been organised in the Hanham Room at
Allendale House Hanham Road Wimborne BH21 1AS between the hours of 3PM and
8PM on Friday 21st September 2018. Members of the project team will be on
hand to discuss the proposals and answer questions.
A web page for the development www.pro-vision.co.uk/wimborne has been
established and the display boards from the consultation event will be live
from the 21st.”
The proposals would appear to have a number of positive elements included
from WRFC’s perspective.
