RFC Annual Dinner & Dance 2009&
Good Causes
The
Club Dinner & Dance was held on Saturday
March 7th - many thanks to Nicola Wallace-Walton
for her unstinting efforts in organising another
hugely successful event. During
the course of the evening, an auction was held
for a framed signed England shirt, the proceeds
of which, went to Walk
the Walk, a grant making charity committed
to raising funds for vital breast cancer causes.
Many thanks to local TV retailer Holmans,
who bid £430 for the shirt.
A
group of WRFC ladies, including yours truly,
will be walking a marathon (26.2 miles) around
the streets of London in The Playtex Moonwalk
on May 16th to raise funds for Walk the Walk.
We would be very grateful if you would be kind
enough to make a donation towards this very
worthwhile cause, and help us reach our target
of £2,500. Donations can be made online (securely and
safely), by clicking www.justgiving.com/wimbornepants
to visit our Fund Raising page.
Many
thanks in advance for your generosity.

Stuart
Newman (Colts Coach) Flora London Marathon update:
I
completed the London Marathon in 3hrs 55min which
was bit slower than anticipated but it was very
hot. More importantly I should have raised in
the region of £1200 for the Breast Cancer Campaign,
so many many thanks for your sponsorship.
As for the pain of doing it - yes there was plenty,
but the atmosphere around the whole course was
something never experienced before - Try it you
won't regret. Thanks again - Stuart www.justgiving.com/stuartnewman1
Simon
Yates (Former WRFC player) is running the Flora
London Marathon on Sunday 26th April on behalf
of CLIC Sargent.
You can find out more about his chosen charity,
and make a donation through his webpage www.justgiving.com/simonyates1
Simon
and Laura completed the marathon and raised over
£2.5K - Many thanks to everyone for their
kind donations.
