LADIES / GIRLS have recently formed (2001), but are already thriving
and successful. The ladies/girls section covers the 12 - 18 age group.
The girls are trained and supported by a dedicated group of coaches and volunteers.
If you would like to find out more, contact one of the Ladies
coaching team, or come along to the Club on a Saturday morning between
10:00am and 11:30am and join in with their training session
Mini
and Youth rugby is actively promoted at Wimborne and we celebrated
25 years of M&Y rugby at the Club four years ago (2003/2004). Excellent
coaching standards and management attracts in excess of 300 junior players
to the Club and it is arguably a role model for the Dorset and Wilts region.
Aims and objectives focus on encouraging boys and girls of all ages and abilities
to participate in a team game for the fun and enjoyment of the game itself.
Rugby is a game where values are as important as playing. The values of sportsmanship
and fair play are taught as an endemic part of the game, alongside playing
skills.
If you, or your child, would like to find out what it's all about, then contact
any of the Officers in the
Mini and Youth section, or turn up at the Clubhouse on a Sunday morning
between 9:30am and midday. You will be made most welcome.
